got it for my dad cause the one they gave him wasn't very good and we couldn't figure out that one, This one was a pop open the box and pretty straight forward. He much prefers this one and i would totally buy again if needed.

First, it really comes with everything you need. I tested the meter against two others and it's well within acceptable accuracy, and the price of the strips is VERY reasonable. The only negative I see is the silly storage bag that it comes with. How much more could it cost to provide a zipper case for it, even if there were no pockets or elastic to hold it down? Whoever thought that bag was a good idea should get in a different line of work. I couldn't give it 4 1/2 stars but I would have based on the extremely reasonable price.

i have been using a Relion unit for a long time but notice i was getting varied results like the unit was malfunctioning, so i tried the Avon unit..tested right after i was tested at the doc office, very close. so im satisfied with the accuracy, one thing i hate about this brand is 100 test strips cost more than a new unit with 100 test strips and lancets included, makes no sense.

I have only bought this unit because the other one I used different brand name is no longer in production. I use the sample from both units and they were dead on the same reading so it must be good

I am very happy with how quickly I received my order. I like how simple the machine is to use. They provide a page with pictures showing you exactly what to do. This is my first glucose monitor. I like that most everything you need is included.The alcohol wipes are not included. If I had realized that, I would have ordered some.The reason for one star off is that mine arrived with a dead battery. Fortunately, I had a spare battery that was the same. You need a battery size CR2032.

First couple of reading were 10 percent different than my freestyle meter, but are almost the same now, I bought this as a backup and will be buying more strips in the future.

This set comes with everything you need. The directions are clear and very easy to follow. It only takes a few minutes to set up. I really like that it's able to record up to 30 glucose readings showing the specific date and time. This makes sharing this information with your doctor so much more convenient that writing all of your readings down. As far as accuracy, I haven't taken it to the doctor yet but will next time I go to have him test it. So far, especially for the price, I am very happy with this glucose monitor.

It's a little different than most other systems but works well. Prices reasonable and the refill strips are cheaper than anyone else.
